… too true, too true…Today in rock history, in 1971, Allman Brothers Band guitarist Duane Allman is laid to rest. The group, plus Dr. John and Bonnie Bramlett, perform at the service. Allman was killed in a motorcycle accident three days earlier, at the age of 23, which is the age of my oldest son right now. Kid, stay off of motorcycles (unlike your old man) and you'll make it to 24 and beyond.
